Dear Deviants!

I'm normally a non-violent person and I hate it to argue with people. And that's probably the reason why I can't understand the whole Harry Potter vs. Twilight thing. I'm a Harry Potter fan for some years now and I remember (and many others obviously don't) that this "VS."situation is not the first one. Lord Of The Rings fans were arguing with Harry Potter fans, they tried to convince us that JK Rowling was stealing from JRR Tolkien etc. It wasn't nice and it was hard for all HP fans, me included, to read these lies and many others (I'm a LOTR fan too, funny...). And now? The Twilight series is celebrating huge success and has an unbelievably big fanbase. And what are the HP fans doing? The same thing, which was done to them, before... And I don't understand why. I open threads on the internet about Harry Potter, because I like the books. Other HP fans are opening threads about Twilight, because they hate it. (???) What the hell?! And the most idiotic thing about this is that most of these "aggressive" HP fans have never read the Twilight books! Or even worse, they "run through it"! Let me explain something. If someone takes a book and runs through it, that means that there was never the intention of liking the book. Nobody is forcing you to read the book, to watch the movie, to like the whole story. But why are you spending your time with hate messages and hate art if you could spend it with HP love messages and HP art?

And because this whole thing was a mystery to me (and I've never seen HP fans so "aggressive"), I've read the whole Twilight series. And you know what? I liked it. Not because I'm an idiot, just because I'm not so narrow-minded and I try to enjoy EVERY book I read. Twilight is very different from Harry Potter, I'm not saying there aren't any details I would write a little different, but I would do some changes in the HP books too. And I'm trying now, not to be ashamed of every HP fan who is shouting all over the world "Twilight is idiotic, only for idiots."

Now the result: I decided to make some Twilight art now, as a protest. The first one will be just a coloring thing and I'll post it today.
